The Sherman’s Peek vista is located directly across from the point where Sherman’s Creek empties into the Susquehanna River. From here you can see the end of Cove Mountain, Sherman’s Creek, the three bridges which cross Sherman’s Creek, and the borough of Duncannon PA.
This vista is easily accessible via the Appalachian Trail and is elevated 300 feet above the trail head near the Clarks Ferry bridge. I don’t believe there is an official name for this particular view so I made up the name Shermans Peek since it “peeks” across the river to Shermans Creek.
This vista can be accessed via the Peters Mountain Loop Trail.
